JOB TITLE: Regional Creative Director

PRIMARY FUNCTION / POSITION SUMMARY:
A Regional Creative Director is responsible for solving region-specific marketing problems through region-specific advertising/ promotions. Since many of those problems can be solved simply through well-crafted national templates, every Regional Creative Director should be an active participant in their creation. A Regional Creative Director needs to be creative’s (the Brand’s) strongest advocate with each dealer group.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Have a thorough understanding of these brands, where they’ve been, where they are and where they’re going.
• Have a working knowledge of products and customers.
• Have a working knowledge of dealers and dealer presentations, to be able to anticipate client needs and tastes.
• Conduct himself/herself in a way that builds client trust and respect.
• Know when to take a stand and know when to save the battle for another day.
• Have a working knowledge of broadcast and print production to know what is deliverable and what is not.
• Have the organizational skills to handle many assignments from many different regions promoting many different products simultaneously.
• Exhibit solid team-building skills, to form strong working relationships with all departments, regional staff and influential dealers.
• Be able to create sound, intelligent advertising extremely quickly, to meet deadlines measured not in days…but in hours or minutes.
• Understand that there can be dignity in retail, and that solving a client’s marketing problem is also a valid way to earn a living, even if you won’t get a Clio for it.
• Maintain and support all company standards as specified within the Quality Management System.
• Supports/facilitates the mandatory adherence to ISO9001 requirements, processes and procedures.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Strong conceptual abilities--ability to originate creative ideas quickly and on limited budgets.
• Strong people skills--able to lead and motivate creative personnel.
• Strong presentation skills--ability to persuade, inform and take criticism from clients, while maintaining agency standards and strategic point-of-view.
• Ability to inform and drive synergy across communication platforms.
• Ability to successfully translate ideas into other media (web, direct mail, showroom, print, TV and promotions).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience across disciplines (advertising, direct marketing, interactive) preferred.
• Have physical and mental requirements to meet the above listed job responsibilities.
