Records Scanner and Indexer 

Working under the supervision of the Records Coordinator, yet working independently, the Records Scanner/Indexer is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely scanning of records for retention purposes utilizing document scanner or multi-function printer. Responsible for indexing/cataloging the records into two separate records management systems and placing the physical material in records boxes to be sent to storage. Must be able to identify subject of material and follow guidelines when classifying documents. Must have excellent communication skills. Duties require periods of standing, sitting, pulling/pushing items, lifting/carrying items, keyboarding, reaching with hands and arms, etc. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

• At least 2 years of experience as a Record/Indexer, Records Clerk, or Document Controller role. 
• Must be knowledgeable of multiple software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet.
• Ability to follow instructions and respond to directions accurately. 
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality and monitors own work to ensure quality is met. 
• Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively and asking questions where clarification is needed. 
• Must be able to work independently, prioritize work activities and use time efficiently. 
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality 
• Requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking and bending. 
• Must be able to lift and carry files and boxes

- This is a 2 month contract, so please make sure candidates are okay with this short term assignment.
