Qualitative Research Analyst

Aquent's client, a large tech company headquartered in Mountain View, CA, is seeking a Qualitative Research Analyst for a 12–month assignment.

As a Qualitative Research Analyst, you will be a part of the Research, Analytics and Insights team which is responsible for analyzing and understanding the impact of Retail marketing efforts, and influencing future Retail strategy and design based on fact-based results. You will manage our qualitative and quantitative research initiatives globally, through understanding the research goals, managing timelines, and raising any issues with the communication flow amongst cross-functional teams. The majority of your efforts will be focused on qualitative customer research - such as focus groups and user experience testing - including research methodology and design, synthesizing insights to drive actionable recommendations, and managing research vendors through this process. Your consumer insights will drive critical creative and messaging decisions, helping the team ensure the products resonate best with consumers in the retail environment.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
1. Support Research, Analytics and Insights team
2. Interface with external vendors’ working teams to manage timelines, deliverable due dates and quality check work
3. Report on inconsistencies or project risks to internal and external teams to ensure quality work

Additional Responsibilities:
- Drive agendas, notes, action items and follow ups for internal and external meetings
- Build and track timelines across Research, Analytics, and Insights team; research vendor teams, and Retail Marketing cross-functional teams, such as creative, production, and go-to-market
- Report on project progress to internal leadership
- Coordinate budget management and raise flags to program lead for discrepancies
- Ensure research vendors are solving the most pressing questions to our internal stakeholders, through sharing goals, determining research respondent profiles, and reviewing and making suggestions to moderator guides and questionnaires
- Manage various vendors who are executing qualitative and quantitative research post-launch in stores, as well as pre-launch UX studies in our retail lab
- Attend user experience testing sessions, and synthesize insights to core learnings to share with Retail Marketing cross-functional teams

Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-4 years of experience in project management, meeting management, and vendor management in the Marketing field
- BA/BS Required, ideally with a focus on Marketing
- Proficient in Google docs, sheets, slides (relevant Microsoft experience will suffice)
- Marketing or Research experience in consumer electronics industry
- Experience in Qualitative research is helpful

- Provides clarity to chaos and thrives in ambiguous situations
- Experience working with or managing creative processes
