QA Analyst

We are seeking a QA Analyst to assist in maintaining and improving the quality of our streaming (broadcast) content multi-platform service. The QA Analyst will perform tests on our digital products and services to verify that all applications are performing as designed and are maximizing the customer experience.

In this position, located in our NYC headquarters, you will have the responsibility of testing across multiple platforms to review/validate systems. Additionally, you will assess positive and negative functionality, compatibility, data integrity and you will perform regression testing. Working within an Agile development environment, duties will also extend to verifying, prioritizing and addressing technical issues reported by customer service that adversely affect the customer experience.

An ideal candidate will possess 2-4 years of experience directly testing and/or supporting web and mobile applications; will be extremely detail-oriented and possess the ability to think outside of the box, and will be able to devise creative techniques for testing. Experience with Jira and Agile development methodologies is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

Obtain a detailed understanding of the behavior of (and issues affecting) our service/product across all platforms.
Perform tests of new features and functionality of service/produc.
Display ability to prioritize and resolve issues interfering with the Customer Experience.
Write test cases and use tracking tools to file, monitor and resolve issues.
Communicate clearly and frequently with all team members, stakeholders and project/product owners impacted by test and troubleshooting results.

Requirements

- Position will be 100% manual testing
- Mobile testing experience (iOS or Android) is a must have to be considered for this position
- Testing of "TV Anywhere" apps is a major bonus. This could include Roku, Amazon Fire, or XBOX
- Communication skills will be important and play a factor in evaluating candidates
- Other bonuses include:
- SQL knowledge
- Experience in following logs
- Firebug/Fiddler experience
- Interview process will consist of 1st round over the phone, and 2nd/final on-site w/ team

Required Skills/Experience

• 2+ years testing and/or supporting web/ mobile applications on iPad/iPhone/Android

• Passion for mobile technologies & applications and TV Everywhere

• Committed to following issues through to complete resolution

• Working knowledge of browsers and browser plug-ins, especially Flash

• Strong documentation and communication skills

• Experience with Jira and Agile development methodologies a plus.

• Experience with Connected TV applications a plus.
