AQUENT'S eCommerce client is seeking a bright, motivated, hardworking individual to fill a Purchasing and Asset Associate position in Boardman, OR. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to Operational Excellence.

They are seeking an experienced, motivated, self-starting individual to join their team as a Purchasing & Asset Associate. Your role is viewed as one of the key components of our business and will have a direct impact on their procurement and field operations in the future. You will be expected to proactively implement best practices in the daily management of the company’s purchasing activities including forecasting, procurement, and the management of inventory. They will look to you to develop and implement policies, procedures and solutions that will increase the effectiveness of their procurement activities. This position is primarily responsible for directing and coordinating activities in the purchasing of materials, equipment, and supplies in the organization.

Responsibilities include:
• Ongoing analytics and analysis to insure accurate lead time, safety stock, review cycle, order methods, min/max points, and usage for all part numbers.
• Create reports and analyze new platform arrivals, identify and address gaps in coverage.
• Create and maintain item rank and stock flag status
• Execute stock rebalancing through transfers between locations and purchasing.
• Ad hoc analysis and projects as requested by the PDX Procurement Manager.
• Responsible for managing inventory for highest possible first pass fill rate and highest possible inventory turns.
• Quarterly review and analysis of all Network products (products not ordered through purchasing) for potential stocking recommendations.
• Resolve Invoice discrepancies.
• Receive and review requisitions requesting goods and verifies compliance with corporate policy.
• Expedites orders and requests as needed included non-inventoried items (basic supplies, office supplies, Internal Support).
• Monitors performance and capabilities of vendors to ensure maintenance of delivery, quality, and price commitments.
• Acts as a liaison in dealings between vendors and user departments when necessary.
• Participate in global logistics purchasing discussions.

Basic Qualifications
• 1 - 3 years of management or leadership experience
• Demonstrated success managing inventory, including auditing, forecasting and planning
• Effective listening, communication (verbal and written), and negotiating skills
• Excellent leadership, motivation and managerial skills
• Problem-solving and analytical ability
• Strong project management and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to identify issues, develop solutions & drive results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail, follow-up, multi-tasking and conflict resolution.
• Experience collecting data and reporting against key performance metrics.
• Experienced in inventory control and Inventory Management Systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio

Preferred Qualifications
• At least 3 years’ experience in a purchasing or supply chain role, preferably in a management capacity.
• Experience in Lean Operational Practices is a plus.
• Advanced Excel Spreadsheet Capability
