Publishing Licensing Associate

We have an exciting 4-month+ contract opening with a Large Media and Entertainment company in Glendale for a Publishing Licensing Associate. The Licensing (Digital/Print/Retail) Associate will cover a variety of tasks and projects for the company's Publishing division within their Consumer Products & Interactive Media department. The position will support three Directors and one Manager who will oversee the daily supervision of the role and coordinate assigned projects.

Responsibilities Include:
1. Develop, package and design communication internally to the various International publishing offices and internal stakeholders.
2. Organize bi-weekly Global Forum mailbox including summarizing meeting notes, calendars updates and the Outlook invitation process. Also, be responsible for the distribution and posting of the presentations on SharePoint.
3. Regularly update International Outlook distribution lists, SharePoint access sites for Global Forum Presentations.
4. Coordinate retail development programs, including an account tracker and retail planning lists for the IR (integrated retail) team.
5. Additional retail calendar and product sheets as needed.
6. Basic administrative duties such as copy / collating and QA’ing, editing various printed materials (presentations, one-sheets, internal update reports and status reports) as needed.
7. Shipping of product samples and light phone coverage are required.

Daily Duties:
• Presentation creation and design, including backgrounds, embedded media, including click-through to play for various department presentations in Keynote or PowerPoint.
• QA, edit, spell check all presentation materials as needed.
• Coordinate bi-weekly updates via the Global Forum e-mail box (Outlook).
• Send bi-weekly Forum Outlook requests
• Track meeting forward notifications and review with Manager
• Summarize meeting minutes/notes for action/follow-up
• Posting of presentations on various sites
• Create attendance reports for those who attended meetings
• Continually research competitive products, such as emerging digital products (example – short form content: trends, distribution and competitive sales performance), and new business explorations (via searching online, finding external digital updates and monitoring news trends).
• Cold call companies as supervised by the Director, gathering further information and assessing potential business development opportunities
• Manage licensee invitation lists (excel document) for the Bologna, Italy Book Fair including follow-up with territories on list management, includes correcting e-mail addresses, auditing, duplicates and other written communication as supervised by the Manager of the event/experience.
• Copy, collate and assemble welcome packets

Basic Qualifications
• Extremely high attention to detail
• Experience in Data mining and auditing of documents (finance not necessary)
• Strong business/corporate acumen (understands corporate environment/office etiquette)
• Highly proficient in Keynote (all Mac based applications)
• Proficient in all Windows based products
• PowerPoint, Word,Excel and Outlook.
• Experience in calculating formulas in Excel and auditing some reports (creating pivot tables, formulas and other financial calculations as needed.
• Comfortable making ‘cold calls’, contributing new ideas and presenting to others
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Additional Information Ideal candidate has:
• 1+ year of digital, print or retail marketing experience
• Specific previous company experience – entertainment, creative agencies, social media, etc
• Digital Business development experience – open to other business development background.
• Content media experience
• Understand corp business acumen
