Publishing Assistant, EMEA

Key areas of responsibility:

Publishing of promotional content across the 'channels' on the homepage. Working primarily on the publishing of daily promotions for Games and Home channels.

• Using proprietary CMS (content management system) tool, build & publish content on a daily basis, according to schedules.
• Support the Producer in publishing of promotions, following closely & accurately the promotional calendar
• Adhere to all deadlines and escalate potential issues as necessary
• Coverage and assistance across Home and Game Marketplace channels
• Contribute to ideas for new & exciting promotions to delight & engage an audience
• Ensure programming and projects follow internal policies & procedures and actively seek any changes in policies
• Update channel Producer clearly and regularly on status of all weekly tasks and on-going projects
• Adhere to internal pre-Localisation and Localisation policies with all translation vendors, including meeting of deadlines & adherence to length restrictions and escalate issues to channel Producer
• Coordinate graphic asset requests
• Develop intimate knowledge of bespoke content management tools in order to create content and resolve technical issues autonomously

* Quick transition into team – getting up to speed on tools and the EMEA focus
* Keeps dashboard fresh with new content on a daily/weekly basis across all markets with 100% accuracy
* Demonstrate ability to manage and resolve technical issues
* Understand regional sensitivities and priorities
* Identify asset requirements
* Aid in the production and construction of content using content management tools
* Work well as part of a team, as well as independently
* Proactive with fast reaction skills when content may require changing/updating quickly
Experience and Professional Qualification Requirements:

Essential:

* A strong proficiency with content management tools and processes
* Excellent communication and decision-making skills
* Experience of working in a deadline-driven environment
* Experience of working to schedules in a daily or weekly content publishing environment
* Proven knowledge of working within a production team
* Ability to absorb & note information accurately
* Proven working knowledge in creating content for multiple audience types in an online environment, preferably in the entertainment industry
* Experience & proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
* A basic knowledge of Photoshop
* Some experience in online content publishing using CMS
* BA/BS or equivalent

Desirable:

* Knowledge of the Games industry
* Fluency in one or more European languages beneficial but not essential
* Strong editorial skills, particularly an ability to write concise headlines and descriptions that adhere to tight character restrictions
* A basic knowledge of HTML
* Degree in information management, communications, journalism or related discipline
