Publications Editor

The Publications Editor will manage the creation of printed marketing collateral. Items range from brochures to welcome kits to magazines. This job requires meeting with executives, managers, product marketing and other stakeholders in order to understand the vision, needs and requirements for each piece. The Publications Editor will also be responsible for maintaining a current catalog of all print materials and serve as editor for all membership-related content.


Responsibilities:
• Organize, schedule, control and produce a wide range of publications and promotional material for a global audience.
• Evaluate and provide insights to the quality of work at each step of the production process.
• Create and maintain a catalog of all print materials (magazines, brochures, booklets, journals, CDs/DVDs, FAQs, handouts, welcome kits, etc.) for Marketing’s products.
• Create a calendar for updating print materials.
• Conducts review of publication projects for alignment with strategic objectives and revises, writes and edits as needed.
• Create new print materials in conjunction with Product Marketing, Sales and Field Marketing teams.
• Follow creative brief to ensure items are on brand and in line with target audience and company goals.
• Adhere to production schedules managed by Marketing Operations.
• Recommend, lead and implement tactical process improvements.
• Assists with development of merchandise, promotional items and giveaways as needed.
• Keep current on all products, services and events as well as the direct selling and leisure travel industries.
• Work collaboratively with the MarCom Manager, Product to ensure all product-marketing collateral is free of errors, including digital collateral.

Qualifications:
• Two to five years of experience in publishing or at an agency.
• Solid writing and editing skills.
• Experience is writing for a global audience.
• Well-versed in AP Style and working knowledge of Guardian Style.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to cope with strict deadlines and multiple projects.
• Ability to recognize good writing and high-quality publications.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism or a related field.
