Job Title: Marketing – Public Sector Communications Executive: £26K
Anticipated Start Date: Asap
Building Location: Reading
Placement type: Contract will run until the end of June 2015 has the potential to extend.

Role Purpose:
The Public Sector Communications Executive will help support the UK Public Sector business by generating effective communications, both internally and externally. With an emphasis on digital communications and internal updates via an instant messenger and quarterly events, the PS Communication Executive will own and implement a holistic communications plan that helps drive traffic to the client’s core digital channels and enhance internal communications across the UK Public Sector team.

Key Accountabilities:
• Work with the UK Education Marketing Manager/PS Marketing Manager to develop a relevant and engaging Public Sector communications plan using various digital and offline mediums -- blogs, video, social media and instant messaging.
• Work closely with the social media team to develop an engaging presence across relevant digital channels - Twitter, Facebook and blogs etc.
• Generate, proofread and edit content for various marketing activities - PS websites (Health, Government etc).
• Support the public sector events teams to extend the reach of any physical events with digital assets.
• Create internal public sector business update documents and assist the PS Events Executive with quarterly team content/activities where appropriate.
• Interview senior leadership team, customers, resellers and others to collect and develop unique and compelling content

Essential Experience:
• Established experience of creating impactful communication plans
• Expertise in content planning, development and publishing, and measurement
• Experience growing and nurturing a social media community

Technical / Functional Skills:
• Excellent copywriting skills
• Awareness and appreciation of tools such as Twitter, Facebook and SlideShare and how they can be used to build communities and drive revenue. Community management experience would be desirable.
• The ability to clearly communicate a complex technical solution to clearly defined personas.

Personal Attributes / Interpersonal Skills:
• Creative, diplomatic, cool under pressure and fantastic interpersonal skills.

• University graduate - background in journalism would be well suited to this role
• IDM/CIM qualification (preferred but not a prerequisite).

**Bachelors degree in marketing or equivalent training required; entry-level positions require two years experience. Required skills include verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, customer service and interpersonal skills, basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time, basic knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services, basic knowledge of media production, and communication and dissemination techniques and methods.**
