We are looking for a talented, strategic, self-motivated Public Relations (PR) Manager to lead the efforts and agency across Games, Television, and Consumer Products in our Los Angeles office. The manager is responsible for working closely with Marketing, Community and Promotions teams to execute dynamic plans. The manager’s primary focus is garnering coverage for our video games, television show and licensing efforts and involves both Business to Consumer and Business to Business activity. The role includes liaising with relevant journalist to garner coverage for our games, organizing interviews with leadership within the organization, and developing strategic communication plans. It also includes working closely with PR leads at Europe divisions and sister divisions. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and works rapidly in a dynamic ever-changing start up environment. The person should also have familiarity and passion for game brands and characters.

Responsibilities

Providing support, planning, research and tactical execution of public relations strategy and tactics
Building relationships with key editors, columnists and bloggers, providing active outreach and response to press inquiries
Assist with organization of press tours, trade shows, exhibitions, and other events.
Oversee PR agency activity
Maintain and update company's press contact database.
Researching top influencers, competitors, and trends in clients’ industries
Organize and fulfill mailing requests.
Review media outlets for coverage and compile coverage for PR department.
Organize and maintain game-clip books, magazine library, video library, and a general media archive.
Utilizing PR analytics tools, analyzing PR ROI, and improving messaging, soundbites, outreach, and meeting KPIs to be reported to internal stakeholders
Take notes on weekly PR calls and distribute them to global PR teams.
Follow up on assignments with multiple parties to ensure projects are completed on time.
Organize and manage documents used by the entire organization
Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges
Some travel required!
Qualifications

A minimum of 3-5 years experience in public relations in gaming preferred
Avid video game enthusiast who is active in the gaming community
Bachelor’s Degree in PR, Marketing, Journalism, or equivalent experience preferred
Excellent organization skills and written and oral communication skills required
Willing to work long hours and weekends as required
Proficient with Photoshop, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and PR measurement tools preferred
Passion for the gaming brand and knowledge of the gaming industry a big plus
Deep understanding of the social media and influencer community
Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven entrepreneurial environment
Willingness to work hard and roll up sleeves to get work done, even when at times it is outside the scope of the job
Ability to develop creative, effective approaches to difficult communications challenges
