Position Workgroup:
Internal Order Info: The primary responsibilities of the Public Engagement Coordinator are to support the company’s strategic outreach efforts for all major transmission projects including infrastructure siting and transmission construction activities. This position will assist with all outreach activities and initiatives including preparing and coordinating external written communications to property owners and other stakeholders, response, dispatch and tracking of external project inquiries, and monitoring and tracking project information. Participate in project team meetings and processes including field reviews. Draft letters, collateral and presentations as needed in coordination with Manager and internal communications department. Coordinate the printing and mailing of external communications. Monitor property owner inquires on assigned projects and manage response and documentation. Assist with the preparation and implementation of public information meetings and participate in public hearings as required. Maintaining SharePoint site and other project documentation and reporting.

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferably with emphasis in mass communications or public relations.
• Requires analytical skills necessary to identify, interpret and manage complex issues within a broad range of projects.
• Requires strong communication skills (verbal and written) necessary to interact with project managers, management, other employees and external community representatives and organizations.
• Requires experience in database and document management as well as presentation development. General knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and internet research.
• Project management experience is highly desirable.
Required Skills: Oral and written communications, presentation development, Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint

Required certification/degree: Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in mass communications or public relations
