Client seeks a full time experienced proposal writer to help build and expand the company’s business. This temporary-to-hire position fills a critical role within the company by crafting and submitting proposals.

Responsibilities
• The proposal writer must have the ability to read and understand all requirements of solicitations, along with qualifying it and determining how Clients system meets/exceeds or does not meet the specifications.
• Manage the proposal response process from receipt of solicitations through the final product.
• Define and manage the proposal response plan and implementation of it.
• Responsible for ensuring the submission of a compliant proposal.
• Research, write and edit materials for proposals and technical reports.
• Translate technical information into clear, effective documents for inclusion in proposals, which are reviewed by technical and non-technical personnel.
• Design/write/edit tables, matrices, past performance descriptions and resumes for proposals. Edit and standardize materials prepared by other writers.
• Available to work the hours needed to meet deadlines.

Preferred experience and skills
• B.A. in Journalism, English or Communication
• Four to six years directly involved with writing proposal content and the proposal’s production – business experience including knowledge of business processes is also beneficial
• MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other appropriate software for developing effective and winning proposals
• Professional writing experience required
• Experience writing winning proposals for government agencies following AP style
• Successfully juggle multiple proposals simultaneously with tight deadlines
• Industry knowledge and/or experience is desired
