Our client is seeking a Proposal Development Project Manager. The ideal talent will be responsible for but not limited to:

Proposal Development Project Manager will work with multiple Regional Account Managers, Regional Sales Executives, Regional Sales Managers, Area Marketing Directors, Regional Underwriters, Senior Leadership in those areas and National proposal professionals on rate requests, Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information and adhoc requests from National, Strategic and Large Group Purchasers.

1. Successfully lead efforts to win new business and retain existing Strategic and Large Groups for KP and affiliates and provides support in these efforts for National Accounts. Facilitate cross-functional teams to identify key strategic and tactical issues, create solutions, and implement actions regarding Strategic and Large Group RFPs/RFIs and provides support in these efforts for National Accounts.

2. Identify business issues related to requests for information and proposals from employers and their consultants by collaborating with the Regional Account Manager, assigned Underwriter and/or Pricing leadership through strategy calls to develop and deploy solutions designed to meet employer need.

3. Develop multiple RFPs/RFIs simultaneously for renewing and prospective National, Strategic and Large Group Accounts, which includes: conducting strategy calls in partnership with Account Management; documenting and disseminating employer requirements to source departments such as Pricing, Regulatory and Content Development; collaborating independently with California Regional Account Management, underwriters, subject matter experts and National Account proposal professionals to ensure constant communication regarding status of RFPs, roles and responsibilities, market specifications for proposals, and successful outcomes from proposals; set timelines and negotiate deadlines both internally and externally; compile responses from source departments, procure missing information, write and edit responses to meet proposal specifications; ensure that information not approved by the business line leadership is not released; respond to follow-up information/materials as needed.

4. Ensures proposals meet specifications and are complete, accurate, consistent, customer centric, market oriented and best position KP. Ensure rating documentation is correct, consistent internally and with rest of proposal, and complete. Ensure the quality and consistency of information across Northern and Southern California regions for individual clients and their consultants and for consulting firms as a whole.

5. Accurately tracks the activity associated with each request; documenting initial internal timelines for the request. The Proposal Development Project Manager will track and report the outcomes of each request in the RFP Database for all inputs associated for a request.

6. Supervise project coordinators and oversee the production of proposals and surveys.

Engage, manage and/or support a wide range of long and short term complex highly visible multi-faceted projects critical to continuous process improvement related to the Proposal Development function. These projects will support key initiatives of Sales and Marketing leadership as they relate to Proposal Development.
