The Proofreader ensures all materials developed for communication materials (both print and electronic) are grammatically and editorially sound and adhere to internal and external brand styles. This role also manages and coordinates materials through internal and external review processes. Note: This is an on-site opportunity looking for talent with full-time availability.

Key responsibilities
– Serves as the primary editorial resource for assigned brands/therapy areas
– Edits, styles, and formats a full range of print and multimedia materials to high standards; ensures they adhere to customer and in-house styles
– Manages/coordinates materials through internal and external processes (eg, graphic design/layout, quality control, client/faculty review)
– Incorporates client and faculty comments with direction from writers
– Fact checks materials to ensure accuracy
– Formats materials that do not go through Creative (eg, PowerPoint, Word)
– Works with nonscientific material (eg, invitations, biographies)
– Meets deadlines; communicates progress to colleagues
– Works closely with colleagues to establish and manage timelines
– Maintains excellent relationships with colleagues
– Management and operations
– Provides peer-review for other editors
– Knows and understands client review processes and requirements
– Advises colleagues on customer and in-house style; internal and client operating procedures; software applications
– Advises Editorial Services colleagues on effective writing
– Shares best practices
– Identifies and develops operational efficiencies
– Provides input on house style guide
– Estimates hours accurately for Editorial Services budgets
– Liaises with external resources (eg, freelance writers/editors, technology vendors)
