Project/Traffic Manager

Major responsibilities and related duties include:
• Managing the creative team and day-to-day workflow through the department
• Providing daily hot sheet outlining and prioritizing projects in the system
• Reviewing all creative requests to verify they are clear and supported by enough background information to be fully executable by the creative team
• Working with marketing managers to evaluate project priorities and deadlines to manage daily workloads
• Ensuring all marketing managers are made aware of unavoidable delays and have been given sufficient time to properly manage expectations
• Collaborating with team members: both marketing managers who are requesting creative and the creative team who will be executing the work
• Shepherding multiple projects concurrently to make sure all work is thoughtful and delivered on-time
• Leading by example and supporting junior team members to cultivate professional growth throughout the entire team
• Reporting directly to Creative Director

Required qualifications:
• Excellent organization and technological skills
• Outgoing, enthusiastic, self-starter personality
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Intuitive and able to identify concerns relating to quality, timing and accuracy
• Flexible and nimble, able to re-prioritize quickly and find solutions when surprises arise
• Assertive and confident, able to explain priorities and re-work deliverable dates as the workload demands
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including (but not limited to) Powerpoint, Word, Outlook, Excel (Google Docs a plus)
• Precise attention to detail
• Comfortable working in an office environment
• 5+ years professional project management or traffic management experience

Preferred (not required) skills:
• Experience in Basecamp 3 (Our current project management software)
• Knowledge of print and digital production standards and timing
• Ability to proofread (familiarity with AP style a plus)
