Project Planner, Creative

The primary responsibility is to manage schedules and ensure successful and timely delivery of projects. Projects include recurring print creative assets, particularly monthly Mailers and Catalogs, and potentially some digital assets. This position will work very closely with creative peers in design, copy, photography and retouching, and act as the primary contact to cross-functional partners in technology, marketing, merchandising and site merchandising
.
The ability to work, communicate and negotiate with all types of personalities will enable the ideal candidate to be successful in this role.

Core Job Responsibilities:
• Project setup and coordination. Serves as liaison and works closely with creative, marketing, merchandising, and production groups in the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple and overlapping projects
• Fields all requests for projects and briefs. Reviews for feasibility and accuracy
• Sets up kick-off and follow-up meetings for special projects
• Attends project meetings to understand requirements and scope. Publishes notes and next steps
• During internal reviews, raises any discrepancies between creative comp and brief
• Maintains master project list to track assignments and key milestone dates. Master list is utilized by the creative team, as well as cross-functional partners to track deadlines, with the ultimate goal that deadlines are no longer missed
• Leads weekly creative production meeting to review project status
• Calls out or anticipates roadblocks. Problem solves to remove any barriers for team
• Distributes projects to the appropriate teams for their approval and feedback
• Tracks change requests. Should be able to discern between changes that are a “go” and those that require further review. Communicates to partners if we choose not to execute their request
• Delivers assets
• Understands and evaluates existing processes. Suggests changes to refine and streamline workflows with the goal of maximizing efficiency and productivity without sacrificing quality
• Understands the creative and print production needs for each type of asset
• Sets and enforces quarterly and weekly quotas for assets based on creative team’s capacity
• Suggests new processes as company grows

Job Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3-5 years of project planning (preferably print assets) or like experience in an agency or an in-house creative department
• Proven success organizing and delivering projects on time
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly developed organizational abilities and a strong attention to detail
• Expert at multitasking and quick, resourceful problem-solver
• Fluency on Mac and Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is required
• Photoshop skills a plus
