Project Manager/CSR - Large Format Printing

Our client, a large format print house is looking for two (2) skilled and experienced Project Managers to join their Irvine team.

The Project Manager is the primary production liaison for the external customer and internal contacts in managing live orders and be responsible for managing all technical and production-related activities for key Large Format accounts in a complex, multiple step process.

They will provide excellent internal and external customer service; accurate and timely project specifications, and robust communication throughout the organization. Ideal candidate will foster vital customer relationships and be expected to work as a team member on a multi-faceted Customer Solutions Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Primary contact for the customer, sales, and all internal service departments. Responsible for ensuring all key stakeholders are fully engaged and informed.
• Project Manager is the production expert in understanding their client’s programs, and facilitates the needs, goals and objectives of their clients for successful project execution.
• Focus on building strong relationships with customers by working through internal systems and processes to meet their requirements.
• Collaborate with a network of support resources to satisfy customer expectations.
• Understand and leverage offerings and recommend solutions to achieve customer’s objectives.
• Responsible for seamless and transparent project execution from order acceptance through final project delivery (ship/mail).
• Review project and verify client materials (art/data) and order specifications with customer and internal processing departments.
• Monitor schedule to ensure timely receipt of client materials and approvals to enable adherence to schedule and delivery commitments.
• Timely project updates to ensure customer changes are communicated, captured and billed.
• Develop and maintain customer profiles to document knowledge of customer expectations and critical components, and support inter-facility communication of customer requirements.
• Able to marshal the appropriate resources to ensure their client’s work is executed and can clearly identify when to seek assistance from internal experts when customer specification changes occur.
• Confirm customer art meets specifications and customer expectations.
• Conduct internal pre-production meetings to present projects and their specifications to all related support and processing departments.
• Provide written instructions and enter initial prep into the Insight/SAP systems.
• Highlight all critical components, customer concerns and expectations.
• Communicate all issues with art to customer along with proposed solutions/options.
• Responsible to manage and provide detailed written instructions for all internal departments.
• Supply specifications for ordering of special components/materials (i.e. dies, labels, glues/coatings) for both internal departments, inter-company and external vendors.
• Manage internal and external job related production process utilizing status reports, timelines, client visits, etc.
• Accountable for supporting investigations related to customer quality/delivery concerns, and initiate customer complaints, as required.
• Seek opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.
• Participate in company sponsored training and development programs.
• Foster new ideas and suggestions, and examines problems from various perspectives


REQUIREMENTS:

• BA or College degree, or equivalent – with 5+ years experience in print/production.
• Demonstrated success with managing complex projects within a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and internal or external clients and prepare professional correspondence (emails, letters, and reports)
• Understanding of large format printing processes and direct mail concepts.
• Projects knowledge and confidence – able to quickly establish credibility and gain access to and establish relationships with key decision makers and key customer contacts (Agency/Creative, Data House, Marketing, Account Managers, Purchasing and others).
• Self-starter and decision maker, who can effectively execute work to achieve objectives
• Proficient personal computer skills including the Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated ability to successfully complete multiple tasks and responsibilities by managing priorities and maintaining schedule commitments
• Keeps commitments to customers, co-workers and employees
• Ability to travel to support client meetings and support up to 20%.

This is a temp to hire position. Only local candidates will be considered. Must work onsite.
