Creative agency seeks a Project Manager to join their team in their San Diego office. The Project Manager is accountable for the overall direction of client projects and responsible for effectively maximizing staff resources and budgets to ensure all projects achieve the client’s criterion while delivering on-time and on-budget. A proven problem-solver, this individual must be adept at anticipating changing conditions and seizing opportunities with positive results out of challenges. This individual must demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, initiative and interpersonal communication skills to effectively bring teams together to drive projects to completion.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Proactively gather and confer with key team members to capture the necessary information to plan and implement each client project
• Develop and maintain project plans, milestones and required tasks for each project, notifying all parties of changes as they occur
• Provide status updates and obtain necessary approvals through a mix of management updates, weekly meetings, internal reviews and post-mortem evaluations
• Drive communication for the project – maintain regular contact with internal and external team members on tasks, deadlines and deliverables
• Achieve desired results in a fast-paced environment with various priorities and changing conditions, while managing multiple projects, schedules and team members
• Oversee time tracking and financial resources to ensure client projects are on-time and on-budget
• Ensure training and adherence to approved project-related processes
• Initiate and evangelize process improvements across disciplines and departments
• Maintain working knowledge of pertinent software and peripherals needed to complete work
