Job Description: Our client is working to deliver integrated experiences and reinvent retail for our consumers across online, in-store, home services, and customer service channels through their Loyalty Program.

As a Technical Program Manager in the Online Business Unit, you collaborate across teams to deliver the best e-commerce projects with most efficient use of resources and technologies to bring the most value to our members as fast as possible. You work with technical and non-technical teams, including merchants, engineers, Q/A, UX, product managers and operations teams to design and implement projects that bring value, quickly, to our members. You investigate and champion new projects by partnering with merchants and product managers, and working with senior leaders to persuade teams across the organization to execute on the right cross-functional projects for members and the business. You work closely with a broad team of business, technical, user experience, and development professionals to make sure the project will achieve the goals and meet the needs of the business and members. You keep a finger on the pulse of members’ needs and pain points by researching and staying current on feedback and other sources of information – you are the advocate for the member. You constantly ensure your projects are moving forward as effectively as possible and you set the bar high for yourself and others.

You are business-savvy and technically-knowledgeable with a verifiable track record of managing and delivering projects on time and within budget. You have strong persuasion skills and the ability to work with people with a diverse set of personalities, backgrounds, and skill sets. You demonstrate proactive technical leadership, very strong verbal and written communication skills, and a proven ability to multi-task, and you manage stress effectively in a fast-paced environment both for yourself and others. You are not only passionate about creating reliable and maintainable projects but are also obsessed with enabling highly performing software, teams, and yourself through rigorous goal-setting, disciplined attention to performance metrics, continuous process improvement, and mutual coworker support and mentorship. You are adept at driving cross team consensus on both business and technical strategy.

You help identify and work with all the appropriate stakeholders to assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, identify appropriate resources, and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects. You identify and assess risks and issues, anticipate and remove obstacles and artificial wait-states, recommend mitigation approaches, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints and encourage risk-taking behavior to maximize business and member benefit.
You have the ability to research, investigate, and author technical specifications, architecture diagrams, use case scenarios, business requirements, process flows, status reports, and you can run effective meetings and facilitate productive discussions. As a successful TPM you have a technical background, are detail-oriented and have excellent problem solving abilities.
