Project Manager with experience in a Training Environment

Global technology company needs a product manager. The ability to work quickly through change and focus on customer service will make candidates stand out. Candidates must be flexible. This position doesn't require any project management certifications and a highly structured, formal project management approach would not be a fit for this role.

This team is seeking a customer-service and results driven, detail-oriented Project Manager to support the Team in global enablement programs to serve Professional Services employees. Responsibility is to manage end-to-end enablement projects, working directly with Program Managers, technical subject matter experts (SMEs), management and learning content developers to ensure schedules stay on track and important deadlines are met. The position reports to the Senior Program Manager of Team.

The Team is responsible for global enablement and training to accelerate service delivery within the Professional Services Organization (PSO). This position will help grow and expand their capabilities by executing training and enablement projects in a very fast-paced environment, keeping the project team accountable to rapidly deploy content necessary to increase confidence and readiness in the PSO.

Here are guiding principles: Customer first, content is king, timeliness and relevance are paramount, and efficiency is key.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead enablement and training projects in conjunction with Program Managers.
• Establish the project calendar/schedule and track project status.
• Communicate project progress according to the established cadence.
• Work with cross-functional teams: business units, field employees, Technical Marketing Engineers, etc. to coordinate project activities, milestones and deliverables.
• Set and facilitate periodic meetings with the project team.
• Follow up pending action items to be completed for the project to move to the next phase.
• Create project documentation (project plans, spreadsheets, procedural documents, etc.) to facilitate the completion of project tasks.
• Report training program consumption and completion status
• Execute general Team communications
• Contribute to process improvements to ensure we operate efficiently and serve the Professional Services Organization better.

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES
• Understanding of ADDIE and AGILE models.
• Experience working in an enterprise training organization.
• Exemplary teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work with many different personalities and build quality relationships.
• Ability to work well in a cross-functional global virtual environment that is fast-paced, constantly changing, and sometimes ambiguous.
• A detail-oriented self-starter who can work independently to get things done.

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience
• Minimum 3 years working in a similar enablement and training enterprise environment
• Experience working in high tech industry
• Proficient with MS Office and web-based applications.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent preferred
• Position is based in Palo Alto headquarter campus.
