Project Manager w/ CPG experience

The Account Manager oversees all aspects of the creative project using planning, monitoring, budgeting and client communication skills. The Account Manager is responsible for completion of the project on time, on budget and on spec. To this end, the AM performs a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, coordinating all resources and stakeholders; setting deadlines; assigning responsibilities; and monitoring, summarizing and communicating the progress of the project.

Project Management

• Plan projects in order to accomplish its goals within constraints such as time, cost
and material specifications
• Schedule tasks, deadlines and milestones for all stakeholders and resources
o Create detailed timelines and milestones for all parties
• Identify schedule uncertainties and risks for both client and agency
o Develop schedule contingency plans

Day-to-Day Management
• Run the project on a day-to-day basis
• Coordinate designers, copywriters, freelancers, service vendors, and clients
• Assemble assets required for creative team to perform tasks
• Disseminate production information to creative team through task and sub-tasks assignment based on requirements
• Coordinate communication between staff and outside vendors
• Efficiently and competently manage problems; when things go off plan (due to scope-creep, changed requirements, missed deadlines etc.) bring them back on plan or create
a new plan with the assistance of key-stakeholders
• Intimately understand the project requirements and ensure that work proceeds on-spec
• Evaluate deliverables prepared by the team to make sure the work meets client requirements and maintains a high level of quality
• Constantly monitor and report on the progress of a project to all stakeholders

• Create, maintain & constantly look to improve production processes
• Work with the production team to come up with strategies to optimize efficiency
• Develop detailed outlines (written and graphical) of production processes

• Develop project proposals for new client work
o Work directly with executive, creative and production teams to contribute wording, research, samples, cost estimates, etc. to proposals

Client Management

• Act as Account Manager for multiple clients
• Schedule and attend meetings with clients
• Explain the production of proposed solutions to Clients and others (where applicable)
• Articulate design rationale and function strategy as it directly relates to accomplishing goals (where applicable)
o Continue throughout the life of the project as new client or project requirements necessitate new design or function strategy
• Present work to the client at milestones throughout the production
• Obtain, discuss and follow-through on feedback from client
o Work with client against scope creep and keep project focused within scope
• Investigate and answer clients’ questions
• Support & help troubleshoot work during- and post-project
• Ensure client expectations of service and product quality are met and exceeded

• Manage client billing
o Create new job tickets
o Maintain records of client estimates and project addendums and their respective billing timeframes
o Create invoices and submit for payment according to proposal timelines
o Follow up with client as needed to maintain up-to-date payment status
• Provide soft-sales (future and cross-selling opportunities) or articulate these opportunities
to the appropriate channels
• Manage vendor billing as required for third-party work on behalf of client

• Keep current on new trends as they relate to design and packaging development
• Maintain organized project files, work folders and client records
• Maintain multiple print and packaging projects at one time
• Work with the following tools:
o MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
o MacMail
o Adobe Creative Suite (general knowledge)
o Custom scheduling applications
o Custom accounting applications
