Project Manager l

The Project Manager is a member of the delivery team, who specializes in small and medium, complex email integration or implementation projects. The candidate will work with multiple teams to effectively manage resources, schedules and the quality of deliverables through a full project life cycle. He or she should have in depth knowledge of commonly used project management concepts, practices and procedures.

Project and Resource Management:
- Accountability for the successful delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects
- Work directly with client representatives across the organization to plan and execute project plans for key client project initiatives and develop and create project estimates in response to Request for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Statement of Works (SOWs).
- Interface regularly with internal business experts to deliver quality work
- Potentially serve as a client facing contact on projects and interface with them on a daily basis regarding project status and budget.
- Take responsibility for project scope, budget, and quality as well as key project deliverables; project schedules, status documents and risk, communication and resource plans on small to medium projects
- Set expectations among all groups regarding scope, timeline and quality of deliverables
- Effectively motivate and manage internal project teams through all phases of project development
- Communicate project implementation options that affect cost, schedule, quality, and risk to stakeholders, as well as offer recommendations based on these elements.
- Solicit, understand and ensure completion of the business and functional requirements for projects, and convey these requirements to the proper teams
Ensure the requirements are synchronized with capabilities, given time and resource constraints
- Closely monitor change requests and prevent unapproved requirement modifications that result in scope creep advising management on the effects these change requests will have on schedule and resources

Organizational/Industry:
- Provide recommendations and best practices around email marketing workflow/operations
- Maintain and build on current knowledge on emerging Internet and email technologies and deliverability/ISP issues.
- Build a wealth of knowledge around the technical requirements for e-mail and be able to communicate requirements effectively to clients and internal staff

Essential Skills & Experience:
- BS or MS or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of experience in project management role in a Digital Agency, Internet or Technology environment.
- Demonstrated project leadership / management experience of small to medium scale email integration or implementation projects.
- Proven ability to manage both technical and creative projects for internal and external clients
- Prior involvement in managing multiple projects concurrently
- Customer relationship management with customer focused mindset
- Ability to execute under accelerated timeframes and adapt to a change in priorities
- Tolerance for conflicting demands on time and resources
- Experience with Project Management Tools (i.e., MS Project, MSCentral, PMOffice) helpful
- Ability to interact, direct & influence cross-functional teams that span the organization
- Proven written and oral presentation skills
- Self-motivated and decisive
- Possess leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Insists on quality deliverables
