Aquent’s San Diego Utility client is seeking a Marketing/Communications Project Manager for a 6-month contract with the possibility of a 1-year extension.

This position supports the Commercial & Industrial Services department by developing and executing strategic plans and initiatives that support customer experience objectives for unassigned, small/medium business customers.

Responsible for the execution of project plans for key initiatives in support of the five-year Small/Medium Business Customer Experience Roadmap. Initiatives may include, but are not limited to, web content development, customer experience process mapping, customer satisfaction improvement strategies, and customer segmentation and channel strategies.

This project manager works with a matrix support organization, including channel owners, program managers, customer communications and customer research groups.

Responsible for gaining support across internal cross-functional project teams, interpreting and synthesizing data from a variety of sources and leading the day-to-day small/medium business customer experience activities. Acts as an internal advocate for small/medium business customers, ensuring customer needs are understood and addressed.

Must have strong writing and oral communication skills; experience leading and managing cross-functional teams; customer service background; strong project management skills; and ability to effectively prioritize and manage time.

Bachelor degree in marketing, business, communications or related field. Minimum of 5 to 8 years previous experience or equivalent training. MBA or advanced degree in business or marketing preferred.
