Project Manager, Localization

Reporting to the Localization Program Manager, this position will provide Localization Project Management support to multiple organizations and across multiple languages. The Localization Project Manager will work closely with Language Specialists, Localization Engineers, Release Management, Product Management, Content Management, Product Development, Customer Support, QA, internal business partners, and with external vendors. The position involves, but is not limited to:

• Concurrent management of multiple localization projects in a fast-paced environment, recognizing and acting on their priorities and interdependencies
• Planning and execution of projects ranging from small, fast-turnaround to larger, more complex projects working with diverse teams to establish their localization needs
• Representing the localization team at project planning/kickoff meetings; developing detailed project plans
• Monitoring web-based localization request system and acting on in-coming requests
• Communicating status, issues and risks to stakeholders
• Providing localization expertise and advice to our internal clients
• Working with external localization vendors and monitoring their progress
• Providing leadership to our localization team members
• Tracking metrics & schedules, and monitoring the workload of our Language Specialists and external vendors
• Periodic review of defined processes and definition/adaptation of new processes in order to deliver to business needs

A. GBX site launch projects, as well as concurrent management of multiple other RTB (“run the business”) localization projects

Q. What are the Top Three Skills needed to perform this role/job?
1. 3 to 5 years of experience in localization project management; strong vendor management skills
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to organize and moderate meetings with x-functional stakeholders; ability to drive projects
3. Experience with Translation Management systems (such as SDL WorldServer)

A. Communicate with clients on localization requests, scope projects, and determine timelines, allocate resources, assign projects to internal or external resources, monitor project progress and provide clear status updates to team and management; ensure quality and completeness, deliver to clients
