Project Manager Associate

The Project Manager Associate will assist the program manager with financial tracking, project budgets and forecasting for our leading global retailer in Seattle, WA. Tasks will include creating resource plans with corresponding team forecasting, ensuring completion of all steps required to obtain project funding and tracking when resources roll on/off the team. You will track weekly, monthly and quarterly actual spend across multiple teams and projects while aligning spend to forecast. You will assist with quarterly forecast updates and ensure team time entry compliance. You should be proficient in MS Project and Excel. IT-project management skills preferred, with 2-4 years experience in Information Technology (IT) project based roles. 

Why is this role open? 
The project manager associate will be assisting Unified Commerce Platform program managers with project funding details and processes, resource planning, time tracking and invoice processing. 

What does a typical work day entail? What are the daily tasks/responsibilities/deliverables? 
Invoice processing (weekly and monthly), tracking project financial forecasts and actuals, ensuring the program is compliant with time entry and PPM and ensuring financial summaries appear accurate for executive reporting. Connecting with Project Managers, Dev Leads and Product Managers to keep financials and headcount information accurate. Updating excel based budget tracker, updating project status and financial status in project portfolio tracking tool (MS Project based). 

What are the must/nice to have skills you are looking for?
Must have experience tracking project budgets, proficiency in MS Project and Excel and high attention to detail. Must be able to understand trends and outliers with budget and invoices, prepare monthly summaries and on occasion present to program management team with findings. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) a must have.
