Project Manager (Account Executive)

SUMMARY
Responsible for managing and overseeing complex project-level activities for the corporate marketing and communications department. Ensures overall project support and delivery performance meets internal and external customer expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Leads the coordination and completion of multiple small to large size projects;
• Partners with other department project managers to ensure project-related activities are carried out in accordance with established specifications, schedules, and budgets;
• Manages due dates and deadlines for milestones with all stakeholders engaged in a project;
• Conducts, gathers, and analyzes research related to marketing activities;
• Meets with department leaders on a regular basis to review project status; assists with development of plans for future actions;
• Ensures current and accurate project planning system documentation;
• Prepares reports and timelines for the corporate marketing and communications team on all projects; keeps reports up to date at all times; and follows up on next steps, milestones, and accomplishments;
• Monitors and is engaged in quality control efforts on all department projects;
• Schedules client meetings and participates in meetings as required;
• Seeks opportunities to implement process improvements within the department;
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in a corporate marketing and communications environment or agency environment required
• Experience in the insurance industry highly desired (insurer or brokerage side)
• Experience with marketing automation software (such as Eloqua, Pardot) highly desired
• Experience with Salesforce highly desired
• Experience with agency management systems (such as Epic and BenefitPoint) highly desired
• Experience generating and refining prospect lists desired
• 3+ years of related work experience

SKILLS
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Exceptional leadership, problem solving, and time management skills
• Strong knowledge of implementing and managing marketing strategies
• Knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and strategies
• Ability to work within a team, lead a team when appropriate, and foster teamwork
• Ability to work independently on projects with little supervision
• Excellent attention to detail; ability to multi-task
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in a project planning application
• Advanced skills with Adobe suite of software (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.)
