Project Manager

Our client, a technology company in Cambridge, is searching for a Project Manager. The role is a 6+ month contract with the chance of extension. The role is full time, onsite in Cambridge.

As the Project Manager for the development & implementation of our marketing automation solution, you will collaborate with stakeholders, sponsors, agency partners and delivery teams to define the overall project commitments and specific requirements. The PM role will be critical to ensuring that the project is delivered on-time and supports the company’s goals for continued expansion of marketing automation. This project will have strategy, design, implementation, QA & testing, and launch/fast-follower phases. Throughout each phase of the project, your primary responsibilities will be to:

Collaborate with project stakeholders and sponsors in establishing the overall commitments, scope and specific requirements for the project.
Define roadmap and key milestones for each phase of the project.
Lead communication routines and facilitate communication among stakeholders, sponsors, external partner agencies and day-to-day delivery teams.
Define resources needed for successful completion of the project. Set and track project resource allocations. Work with stakeholders to resolve any allocations issues (as needed).
Work cross-functionally to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during execution and implementation of the project.


Skills:
Strong organizational skills. Ability to problem solve and execute complex projects in timely fashion. Collaborative, intelligent, dedicated individual with solid team-building skills and relevant experience in technical development (with preference for marketing automation projects).



Qualifications will include:

Detailed grasp of information technology concepts and development processes.
Thorough understanding of project management techniques and tools for defining scope, deliverables, resource management, scheduling, etc.
Deep experience with scrum and Agile development methodologies. Familiarity with user stories, sprint planning and documentation of technical requirements.
Ability to execute complex projects in timely fashion.
Ability to accommodate diverse stakeholder demands and changes in project requirements over time.
Ability to anticipate project risks and identify solutions to prevent or resolve those.
Effectively communicate project status, progress and risks to key stakeholders and decision-makers.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate, partner, and collaborate across functions, geographies, and levels.
Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence or similar tools for project management.
