Our top marketing research client is looking to hire a Project Manager for a contract-to-hire position. This person will be responsible for project management activities for complex studies with limited to no supervision.

Job Description
The project manager will be responsible for initiating, planning and executing all aspects of project scope and requirements. Responsibilities of this position include:

· Project Initiation/Planning

o Documenting the project scope and requirements, including project resource needs

o Managing the development of the project plan, sequence of project activities and timeline using PowerSteering software

o Coordinate and chair project kick-off and status meetings

o Documenting project outcomes and reporting on status

o Identification and prioritization of project risks, assessment of risk and recommendations for remediation

· Project Execution

o Maintain project plan and project performance data in PowreSteering

o Monitor ongoing project activities to ensure project is delivery as planning. Identify and recommend corrective actions to address issues and risks appropriately

o Assess project viability when changes are introduced to the project. Secure appropriate approvals when modifications to scope, timing, or budget are required

o Implement and monitor Quality Assurance plan and regularly report defects

o Finalize activities across all departments and formally close projects upon completion.

· People management

o Communicate project needs and performance requirements to project team members to ensure project plan commitments are met

o Identify resource constraints and reschedule projects, as needed, to accommodate resource demands

o Manage project team member performance through regular status meetings to ensure project remains on track

· Financial Management

o Develop and maintain project budgets, including regular financial forecast

o Monitor project financial health and manage project scope to ensure projects deliver within budget

o Identify opportunities to decrease project costs/increase margins

Knowledge and Technical Skills
· Prior project management experience (PMI/PMP certification is a plus)

o Knowledge of project management tools and terminology

o Ability to conduct analysis of project health and identify/manage risk

· Motivated, self-starter with demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time, on scope, and on budget

· Ability to work and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment

· High attention to detail

· Good communication and problem-solving skills

· Knowledge of consumer research is a plus

· Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite and project/portfolio management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, PowerSteering, etc.)

Education Requirement
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Experience Requirement
4+ years of project management experience or equivalent strongly preferred
