The primary responsibility of this position is to partner with the Global Production Manager and Content Management team within the framework of the company strategic plan and execute superior brand design and implementation systems across all customer touch-points in all global regions. Core to this role is the project management for the development of packaging and labeling materials as directed by the Global Production Manager.

The role is support role acting as a liaison between the Bayer Project team and the creative resources required to execute the design strategy and global roll-out. Focus will be on project management throughout the process, implementation and vetting of comments and changes, management of costs against statements of work, adherence to the company's Standard Operating Procedures while escalating content changes to the proper department. Any design implications affecting the package design or branding are resolved by the Sr. Global Design Manager.

The incumbent will:
• Manage the key relationships with outside design agencies on a project-specific basis. Monitor agency performance and ensure that projects are executed in line with the overall global strategic plan and are on time and on budget.
• Manage relationships with other members of project team while providing project support to execute packaging projects..
• Manage the day-to-day packaging operations while partnering with the Global Production Manager, Sr. Global Production Manager and Sr. Global Design Manager to monitor project status and delivery dates to assure on time delivery and to improve current QA systems.
• Interact with key commercialization stakeholders including R&D, LMR, QA/RA, Product Supply, Core teams, Element teams to ensure design strategies are in alignment with corporate objectives.
• Lead packaging projects from inception through finished implementation driving the team to deliver on time with quality and accuracy.
• Review artwork for adherence to specifications
• Request Statement of Work from suppliers documenting the scope of the project
• Assure supplier quality of execution on all assigned projects
• Manage direct communication between reviewers, stakeholders, suppliers and other team members related to changes in schedule or scope.

The candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in fine arts or business (BA, BFA) plus 5 to 7 years experience in project management in Advertising Agencies, Design Firms, Consumer Products companies, Pharmaceutical Companies, Medical Device groups.
• Ability to build strong relationships to gain the trust and confidence of partner Brand Manager, Core Team Lead and other members of team.
• Must be assertive and comfortable working across all levels of the organization and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work closely with people at all levels of management and technical expertise
• Must be highly organized and be able to manage multiple projects at any given time.
• Clear communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills; collaborative - someone who can work across teams and regions.
• A keen understanding of the packaging industry, typography, printing technology, and the graphics arts industry is essential.
• Must be able to dissect and analyze graphic art files for quality, accuracy and production efficiency.
• Experience working with creative departments - either in-house or for an agency - including complex project portfolios, budgets etc.
• Committed to excellence in every aspect of their work. Experience working with Global materials involving translations
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in a government regulated industry
• Healthcare or Medical Device experience is a preferred.
• Foreign language skills is desirable
• Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, File Maker Pro knowledge
• Experience working in a managed content environment is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organization and/or within the constraints of a global brand
