Our local Portland client is looking for a Project Manager.
Large Format Print experience
Manages a given project from beginning to end taking on all responsibilities necessary.
Attends all client and internal meetings and offers suggestions and intelligence on the project at hand.
Acts as a liaison between the client and our internal production team.
Calls and organizes meetings as necessary with client, production team, and vendors.
REQUIRED SKILLS Include but are not limited to; ability to think on your feet, multi-tasking in a fast paced environment, ability to maintain and adhere to production schedules as well as client deadlines, excellent time management.
Must be detail-oriented, self motivated, a quick learner, and possess strong communication and comprehension
skills to be used with clients, production, and other staff.
Must be proficient with standard computer applications including but not limited to; Microsoft Office,
e-mail and internet.
Comprehension skills, thinking on your feet and using past experiences to offer suggestions and intelligence
to the project.
Professionalism with clients and vendors(i.e. word choice, tone of voice).
Communication and understanding of critical milestones with clients and production.
Communication skills with clients(including but not limited to producers, designers, other vendors), production, and other staff.
Understanding various clients? roles and their applicable scope of work.
Maintaining and adhering to production schedules as well as client deadlines in high stakes, multi faceted projects.
Attending, coordinating, and trouble shooting several different installs of printed graphics and applicable fixtures and props.
Commencing the early processes of a project efficiently and as soon as possible.
Updating creative in a timely manner specifically tight timeliness(verbally and then in the form of a grid).
Attention to detail on grid with new elements.
Increase knowledge base with related industries(i.e. install, fixturing, and other types of printing)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Communicate effectively with all clients including but not limited to producers, designers, her vendors.
Update project grid daily (i.e. changes to specs/materials/quantities/dates as new info comes in).
Keep track of elements submitted to client /client approvals/files uploaded to server/etc. on
special columns in grid.
Send e-mails requesting missing info to client and other vendors when applicable.
Coordinate and attend on-site installation of printed graphics and applicable props.
Source special items for projects(i.e., props for window displays, premium items/vendors, etc.).
Research vendors, outsourcing, and other potential services.
Prepare special version of grid for pre-press to build files from (include only pertinent info).
Prepare special version of grid for production (include only pertinent info).
Proof all pdf?s from pre-press before they are sent to the client for size, spelling errors, correct names, etc.
Maintain master calendar of all projects ship, delivery and launch dates.
Create packing lists and directives on a per project basis.
Follow up with client to obtain missing PO#s for invoicing.
Prepare FedEx shipping documents for shipments from Portland office.
Track packages on FedEx Insight or through AGS when necessary within 24 hours of delivery.
Arrange for items to be couriered within Dallas.
Create and maintain office files.
