A great education publication company is looking for a great project manager!

The Project Manager will manage the development of multiple print and digital projects standards, working closely with editorial and production teams to successfully complete projects on time and on budget.

Here are some of the responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and track editorial and production plans and schedules throughout the course of projects.
- Plan and anticipate staffing needs for full scope of project; find staff that are appropriately skilled and fit the
needs of the project; help maximize efficiencies with staff time and strengths.
- Create and contribute project schedules, budgets, and strategic goals; ensure these schedules, budgets, and
goals are met for each product and that all projects meet standards for high quality; develop creative solutions if
any of the schedules, budgets, or goals are at risk.
- Work closely with team members (and across departments) during development to ensure that projects are
planned to meet relevant curriculum guidelines, current pedagogical standards, design specifications, and
production specifications.
- Troubleshoot, anticipate, and creatively solve problems, including adjusting workflows, allocating resources,
creating workarounds, and escalating potential problems.
- Oversee freelance and vendor contracts, including estimating scope of work, managing deliverables, launching
and conducting weekly meetings, and ensuring final copyright and permissions related to assigned projects.
- Maintain and track project communication and deliverables, such as manuscript, artwork, and supporting
documentation and reports.

Here are some skills you should have:
- Excellent project management skills, including strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate appropriately with all team members, and
organizational aptitude.
- Strong meeting facilitation and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Experience with planning and organizational tools, such as Microsoft Project and Excel
- Ability to pull project teams together
- A BA/BS required as well as 5-7 years relevant experience
