Our client in the financial services industry is looking for a Project Manager to partner with the strategy team and/or lines of businesses to design direct marketing programs to support business goals and strategic initiatives for the company. Develop, implement, and manage direct marketing programs to drive new customer acquisition and ongoing customer engagement and retention. Provide strategic recommendation on the design and evolution of programs to meet business objectives and contribute to the evaluation of the performance of campaigns. This position involves working closely with other groups within the Enterprise Marketing organization, Strategy, Product, Analytics, and Lines of Businesses.
Collaborate with strategy team and/or lines of businesses to support key initiatives and business goals. Provide strategic guidance on direct marketing strategy and programs.
Design and implement impactful direct marketing programs, including collaborating on test plan (when necessary), managing creative development and messaging, data acquisition and/or data management, production, and quality control to comply with risk standards.
Coordinate efforts with multiple internal groups and external agencies, monitor progress and make recommendations on work flow and timeliness to achieve completion of approved marketing programs in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner.
Contribute to audience targeting, segmentation, and test and learn strategies for direct marketing campaigns, as well as the evaluation and reporting of campaign performance.
Conduct in-depth analysis of industry competition, market share (when available), market conditions, past performance, operational constraints, and legal/compliance requirements.
Manage external agencies and vendors in support of direct marketing campaigns.
Analyze results of marketing efforts to maximize effectiveness and return on investment.
Requires a minimum of 5 or more years of professional marketing or product management experience. Experience across a range of financial products is preferred.
Experience with integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns with strong emphasis on direct mail creative development and implementation is preferred.
Knowledge of customer databases, data processing, direct mail production, as well as experience in vendor management (marketing agencies and lettershops) is highly desirable.
Knowledge around direct marketing test and learn strategies, target audience selection, customer segmentation is a plus.
Experience in navigating business partners and compliance reviews with effective communication and positive relationships are valuable.
Great attention to details, and strong project management skills are valuable.
Requires excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Agency experience is a plus, but not required.
Requires strong computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, presentation).
