An awesome client in Portland that works with retails environments is looking for an awesome project manager to join their team for a contract to hire opportunity! Successfully drive projects through planning, development, engineering, and production phases of the project lifecycle.
The Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple project budgets, timelines and
deliverables related to retail fixture production. They possess a good understanding of mechanical
engineering and can identify and source the appropriate fabrication techniques and materials for any
given project. Our project managers work in a collaborative role with account managers, engineers, and
rollout teams. They manage external supplier resources and ensure products are delivered on time, on
budget, and meet quality standards. Project Managers must be highly organized planners, excellent
communicators, negotiators and team players.
Project Manager Key Responsibilities
Brief design/engineering teams and verify mechanical drawing details.
Ensure the quality of technical documentation, design drawings, mechanical drawings, bill of materials is accurate and complete.
Identify appropriate production methods and qualified vendors.
Establish and communicate budgets and project schedules for each project to internal team.
Set up and maintain project order details in ERP system.
Track and report project status on a regular basis.
Ensure quality and on time delivery of production articles.
Identify and mitigate project risks and work collaboratively to implement effective solutions.
Provide solution-oriented communication to suppliers and internal team in a timely manner.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with all team members and supplier contacts.
Demonstrate in depth knowledge of client’s business, brand language and culture.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail oriented and able to learn from past experience.
Able to quickly learn specifics about our industry including materials, production processes, retail environments, etc.
Job Requirements Education in Business Management, Architecture, or Manufacturing preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in retail fixture fabrication or related industry.
Must be able to read and comprehend architectural and mechanical drawings.
Software Advanced level of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint is a must
Adobe Acrobat Professional
Adobe CS, CAD, or 3-D rendering experience a plus
Experience with ERP Software
Frequent Travel may be required
BONUS POINTS Knowledge of solidworks
