Project Manager- Agency

Project manager needed for a great , well known ad agency here in Boston! We are looking for someone who has experience building web sites and web applications , can manage multiple work streams, and work with a great creative interactive team. We’re looking for someone who can be a leader who will help enhance and improve operations in our agency.

This is a full time, temp to perm, on-site role here in Boston. They are looking at a 2-3 month trial period before converting someone to perm!

The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating the movement of jobs through all the departments of the agency: Account Service, Creative, Social, Production (and Media when necessary) while ensuring consistency with the Agency's quality standards, budget, timetable, and client expectations. The Project Manager must be driven by a desire for flawless execution, client satisfaction and pride in the Agency’s creative product.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
▪ Manage projects in all media (offline & online) from job initiation, rounds of revisions to final delivery
▪ Ensure all departments are on task & schedule, managing timely completion and approvals
▪ Produce & track all production schedules and create estimates/cost ranges for all jobs prior
to client presentation
▪ Ensure projects are completed on time and on budget
▪ Maintain detailed job files on server through all phases of production
▪ Manage art buying responsibilities including managing social content photoshoots,
maintaining relationship with stock photography/footage companies in order to source
material and negotiate pricing when necessary
▪ Traffic all print to pubs
o Issue publication schedules and production timelines
▪ Work with media to secure closing dates and/or extensions for materials
o Determine composite sizes for mechanicals, routing, proof, art and mechanicals
▪ Management of Digital projects
o Comprehension and organization of interactive elements (banners, landing pages, emails, etc.) in multiple formats (Flash, HTML, Gif) and various sizes
▪ Proofread/view all creative prior to leaving agency; acting as “last line of defense”
▪ Understand resources to determine the team for projects, and when to bring in freelance
talent.
▪ When necessary, manage external vendors & resources, distilling information from them to
the appropriate teams
▪ Communicate & liaise skillfully with the Creative, Social & Production teams to ensure
successful project delivery; able to motivate, drive & inspire teams to get the job done
▪ Troubleshoot challenges that arise during the project and develop host of solutions or
actions plans to address problems

• Can handle a busy workload of projects while never forgetting to “fly the plane”; strong ability to organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
• Hyper attention to detail and takes pride in flawless execution & workmanship
• Adaptable & Flexible: able to easily & fluidly change course with a creative, strategic or
client-directed change
• Pro-active & Resourceful in Problem-Solving. We’re looking for someone who believes that there are no problems that can’t be solved!
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Balances asking the tough, necessary questions with finding agreement & building consensus
• A Team Player: ability to build and maintain strong, positive working relationships
• Minimum of a Bachelors degree or equivalent business experience preferred
