Project Manager - Consumer Product Goods
-Supports project leads and sub-teams to implement new programs and develop process improvements. Executes projects in accordance with lead coffee brand's established program management methodologies. Ensures that multiple projects meet specified time-lines and deliver expected results.
-Monitors project or program schedules, progress and costs to ensure that expected results are delivered on time and
within budget. Maintains, adjusts and updates project plans as needed.
-Consolidates, communicates and ensures resolution of all issues. May develop and collect performance metrics.
-Provides information about initiative to cross-functional project teams. Offers functional expertise to assess potential financial and operational impact.
-Works with key vendors to deliver program goals in support of project leads
-Collaborates with cross functional teams to support the sell in of the initiative at the customer.
-Contributes to the development of sales materials for the program.
-What does a typical work day entail? What are the daily tasks/responsibilities/deliverables?
-Monitor all aspects of project to ensure timelines are met, including coordinating with multiple vendors and cross functional teams. Problem solves for obstacles and potential delays
-Meet with cross functional teams to support selling discussions and collect information needed for in-prgress projects
-Lead conference calls with retailer's mirror teams to create alignment on expectation, review task lists, and ensure that punch lists are completed
-Update internal tools/trackers as needed (i.e. budgets, store list trackers, weekly customer update)
-Manage invoices receipt and coordinate approval across team
- High attention to detail and 5+ years of experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate complex ideas in a simplified way
-Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and coordinate across functional groups
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
NICE TO HAVE:
-Experience in the CPG industry
-Experience working directly with/for CPG retailers a plus (e.g. Safeway, Target, etc)
-This is the team that creates the coffee brands ‘picture’ for their in grocery stores – bring in this brands logo that helps bring the café experience to the grocery store.
-Working with sales team, category dev team, across ‘customer’ need – this means grocery stores. The team that manages the customers will integrate with this team. Will participate in the initiatives, interface with customers up front. Work through questions for design/looks – works with design team and fabricators. A lot of coordination across those groups, interfacing with customer daily. Weekly calls to discuss details and understanding the instore environment. Managing budget around project, main sure timelines/budgets are all met. Setting up guidelines, melting pot of skills that go into this. Being able to influence, selling is a plus not a necessity. Managing project details, timelines, communication and coordination.
