Our Fortune 500 Tourism and Hospitality Client is looking to add a Project Leader (Project Manager) to their project team.
JOB SUMMARY: Project Manager has the responsibility for the planning and execution of work efforts within assigned technology team. The Project Manager will work closely with all Technology teams (operations, solutions delivery, infrastructure, innovation, governance and security teams), International, business partners, and vendors to define, develop, and execute deployment of their assignments on their own. The Project Manager follows the established project management process to deploy projects to meet the business goals. Project work will consist of Software Development, Hardware deployment, and Infrastructure/construction projects.
Activities include day-to-day leadership of project teams on the delivery of multiple projects, developing cost benefit analyses for the program, communicating to an executive committee, creating and reporting program status utilizing a dashboard and allocating resources across the multiple projects. Must be able to utilize and effectively communicate technical components of an initiative to applicable parties.
0-5 Years Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Must be self motivated, well organized and have strong innovation and facilitation skills. Proven oral and written communication skills; excellent business presentation skills. ·Excellent analytical skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels and across organizational lines, including the business units. Ability to effectively utilize external vendors and resources throughout the organization. Demonstrated success at building team relationships and partnerships across organizational lines.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred in MIS, Technology, Business. Other: Knowledge of project management concepts and processes, requirements gathering, or business analysis required.
EXPERIENCE: College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, technology, project management or software engineering and/or 3+ years equivalent work experience. Experience required in project management, business analysis, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires the use of sound business judgment in coordinating the requirements of the user group(s) for a project. Conflict resolution and problem solving techniques required. Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication, and negotiation skills required. Experience with Waterfall & Agile methodologies preferred.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Works with internal business clients and external vendors. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical manuals and procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw graphs, and interpret spreadsheets.
