Project Coordinator

• Will work under the guidance of a project manager within the Office of National Health care reform group
• Schedule and Facilitate meetings; organize and record meetings or take minutes; coordinate and publish agendas; distribution and follow-up of documents where needed.
• Follow-up and report on project status, update work plans, update status reports and other coordinator tasks as assigned
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining coordinated activities including validation and reporting of progress; organizing, recording, storage and retrieval of communications, including the overall management of changes being implemented across all releases
• Manage work with other project coordinators, business readiness, or IT team members as needed or directed.
• Notify designated leads of conflicts and issues, risks, dependencies, overlap, gaps, and any other items that could impact the implementation dates
• Self-starter and resourceful (ability to research and absorb large amounts of information)
• Ability to jump in and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Seasoned user of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, and Outlook)
• Strong in MS Project. Will need to be able to build work-plans using predecessors and successors. And also be able to update and add resources to that work-plan. Proactively make sure tasks are up-to-date
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to determine the best media to use based on the topic (i.e., phone, e-mail, IM, etc)
• Learn and understand the business readiness and IT methodology to be able to track the progress of the development and deployment of processes, procedures, communications, training and other deliverables for all releases
• Understand the business readiness and IT methodology to ensure all coordinators/leads of each release are aligned in prioritizing and executing the deliverables to support the implementation dates.
• Flexibility with leadership oversight and independent leadership as the assignment dictates
• Similar type of work may be assigned at any time as needs arise; flexibility to adapt to needs
• Pursue assigned work to the highest personal ability and integrity
• Work with colleagues within designated project guidelines
