One of our valued clients in the oil and gas industry is seeking a Project Manager for a 6 + month opportunity onsite in the Galleria area.
The immediate strategic task would align well to someone with a change management/organizational health/culture shaping background, so those attributes would be nice, but not necessarily a must have. The role will initially be focused on a strategic “blue chip” project - organizing and supporting a series of Organizational Health/Culture Shaping workshops, which are contracted and delivered by a third party. We presently envision about 15-20 of such workshops to be within the initial scope of the project. Each workshop is two full days, supplemented with a 1-day follow up session 60-90 days after. Based on the target leadership population we need to run through, we expect we will need to coordinate approximately 15-20 of these workshops, commencing in January 2018. The Project Coordinator/Manager need to have the following skills and abilities: · Strong bias towards project planning, coordinating, tracking and reporting · Must be well organized in work plans, and an effective communicator in written and verbal forms · Skilled in Excel, PowerPoint; data gathering and polished at communication of work plan.
Under minimal supervision, participate in client interactions, coordinate core analysis activities and projects for effectively maintaining both verbal and written communication; as required, throughout the life cycle of the project; advise clients of analytical services, providing support, meeting objectives, assist in tool synergy and process refinement to ensure effective and maintained relationships. facilitate project scope, project surveillance and schedule development maintenance requirements; as well as, track schedules to the task level; work well with others in order to ensure the needs of all clients and fellow team member projects are successfully met and maintained. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software and have the ability to learn company required software. Responsible for the initiation of complex core analysis projects and coordination of the projects through the life cycle of the analytical project program.- Advise clients of applicable analytical services and help mold a project plan to meet the client’s objectives.- Assist in tool synergy and process refinement.- Responsible for disseminating the analytical procedures via the company's internal life cycle management program.- Serve as the primary liaison for client correspondence and an internal contact for guidance and information.- Aid in the coordination of analytical procedures and facilitate project execution across the Houston laboratory departments and other facilities.- Project schedule development and maintenance requirements vary and could include detailed and regular tracking schedules down to the task level. - May be responsible for clients efforts as required or requested when it comes to tracking the project's budget.- Assist with finalizing projects via completion of technical final project process.-Perform various other duties, projects and activities as assigned by management within the physical constraints of the job.
