Project Coordinator - In-House Creative Services Agency

We're working with a global Fortune 500 company (top 30) to find a Creative Services Project Coordinator to join their Creative Services team in Tukwila, WA.
Desired Start Date: 9/29/15
Location: Tukwila, WA
Job Type: Contract, W2 through Aquent
Duration: 12 months w/ potential for extension

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This role coordinates with managers to assign simple to complex projects to members of a large creative team and coordinates and manages lengthy projects, a large number of deliverables, and a strategic internal client schedule.

Responsibilities
1. Manage interactions with internal clients for simple to complex projects.
2. Manage projects hand-in-hand with the key account manager; may serve as his or her backup.
3. Seek opportunities to provide tactical and strategic input that improves team cohesion, collaboration, and the ability to achieve goals.
4. Manage the execution of simple and complex projects through delivery.
5. Create estimates and detailed schedules and document and communicate any scope change; obtain client approval as needed.
6. Monitor and report on the workload of individual team members and of the team as a whole.
7. Ensure that creative briefs, estimates, project plans, schedules, and budgets are complete.
8. Track and report on actual to-date expenditures against estimates.
9. Evolve the traffic and project coordination process to meet internal client and team needs.
10. Enforce adherence to workflow processes and deadlines.
11. Lead lessons-learned team meetings and drive improvements to the process at the team level, across a region, and organizationally.
12. Mentor associate project coordinators.

This is a 12 month assignment with the possibility of extending based on the contributions the candidate brings to the team.

REQUIREMENTS:
An associate or bachelor’s degree. Experience in project management; education in project management preferred; PMP certificate highly preferred. 3+ years of experience as a project coordinator in a creative environment—agency or in-house agency—creating estimates, managing project schedules, working with creative professionals on project execution and delivery.
Experience mentoring less experienced personnel highly preferred.

• Collaborative and have excellent people skills to work with internal clients and creative professionals.
• Committed to providing exceptional customer service.
• Able to identify opportunities for process improvement.
Must demonstrate a sense of urgency and be able to rank competing priorities and work under pressure.
Computer Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Adobe InDesign and Photoshop a plus.
