Program Specialist-Social Innovation Employee Programs - PART TIME

PART-TIME - 6 MONTH PROJECT

The Program Specialist will provide assistance with Social Innovation employee programs (employee led grant making, engaging employees in volunteer activities, and encouraging the adoption of greener choices) and may also assist with general support around survey completion, communications, and general administrative responsibilities.

We are planning a global campaign to engage more employees in our social innovation efforts. The promotion will highlight various ways that employees can engage in social innovation (ranging from volunteer activities to adopting greener lifestyle habits) with incentives for the most active participants. The program specialist will help with aspects of the campaign including planning and implementation, as well as tracking of participation rates through some basic report analysis.

Responsibilities:
• Volunteerism and drives: help plan volunteer events for San Jose Bay Area and fundraising drives such as the annual holiday gift drive with Family Giving Tree.
• Marketing and communications: assist with elements of marketing efforts to raise awareness of and engagement in social innovation programs. This includes contributions to various elements of a campaign in Q4 such as help with messaging, technology development, outreach and coordination with employee teams, development of a rewards and recognition system for engagement. Assist with storytelling across various platforms including intranet stories, e-newsletters, and social media.
• Data collection and reporting: assist with the development of a database for tracking employee engagement across all social innovation programs.
• Assist with other projects as needed

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree (e.g., BA, BS) preferred.
• 2-3 years professional experience in project management, community relations, corporate social responsibility, or nonprofit sector (or relevant coursework experience)
• Demonstrated passion for the mission and vision of the Social Innovation team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong project management skills with attentiveness to details and consistent follow through
• The ability to work confidently and thrive in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required.
