Program Marketing Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Marketing professional to join our strategic marketing team in our San Francisco corporate headquarters. This is an exciting opportunity to own marketing plans and initiatives in development and execution. This position has growth potential and needs a smart, seasoned, dynamic marketing professional who is a self-starter.

The Program Marketing specialist will be responsible for the outbound marketing activities for our healthcare clients programs and products, including crafting the messaging and positioning. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate regulatory requirements and healthcare benefits are crucial.


Responsibilities include:

• Evaluates current marketing and communications strategies and tactics and makes recommendations to improve messaging, collateral, budget, and efficiency for assigned customers.
• Review of member communications to ensure all stakeholder comments are included and follow up where necessary
• Support Retention Marketing Consultant in developing messaging and plans that identify key value propositions, competitive advantages, marketing opportunities, direct marketing, and new project development to support sales goals, member acquisition and consumer loyalty
• Responsible for successful marketing campaign implementations including technical and artistic phases, materials, budgets, and vendor service agreements are completed and results are communicated to the management team and stakeholders
• Analyzes results from marketing initiatives, campaigns; shares findings with management, team members and stakeholders; and recommends actions based on findings.
• Manage projects within budgets and on time. Support Marketing Consultant in proofing and stakeholder reviews
• Develop timelines and plans, which clearly outline each project’s objective, audience, timeline, budget and measurements of success and make sure that the team stays on schedule
• Facilitate member communications explaining issues with contracts, claims and payments. Work with MarComm team and stakeholders to ensure proper messaging is developed and communications are executed


Education/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree plus five or more years of experience in a B2B marketing/sales position with budget accountability
• Knowledge of the health insurance plans compliance is a plus
• Demonstrated experience in working with an integrated, collaborative sales environment/team to develop, track and achieve sales/marketing metrics
• Superior planning, organizational, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
• In-depth knowledge of insurance products, functions, and marketing/service policies and procedures preferred
• In-depth knowledge of advanced marketing principles, concepts and techniques including marketing analysis and research tools
• Ability to independently evaluate marketing plans and processes and recommend improvements
• Knowledge of legal, brand and regulatory compliance requirements for marketing health insurance plans
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communications (verbal, written & presentation) skills
• Ability to multitask with multiple deadlines and/or milestone requirements
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to use advance features of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Self motivated and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
