Our client is a well known leader in the cable and communications industry. This is a CONTRACT engagement for a Program Manager for projects delivering web solutions. This role is NOT marketing focused, more technology and deployment oriented.

Job Title: Program Director
Duration: Long term contract
Location: Monday-Friday during normal business hours in Center City Philadelphia, PA
Hourly pay rate: DOE

  • The Program Director role within the structure is responsible for all phases of complex programs within a specific product portfolio up to and including the planning, organizing, and implementing of the functional programs.

  • The Program Director is responsible for driving the successful execution of a complex program by leading project management teams, identification of cross-program risks, and making recommendations on portfolio direction.

  • He/she defines and assists in the development of project/program management practices, and enforces governance standards, processes and metrics.

  • He/she ensures projects/programs are defined, tracked and communicated in a concise, consistent and effective manner.

  • He/she incorporates effective change, risk and issue management controls. He/she reviews and understands the SBI program business cases, and is responsible for organizing all projects/programs within the complex program to ensure on-time, on-spec, and on-budget delivery.


  • Develops and leads a cross organizational team in support of enterprise POR programs

  • Identifies goals and successes criteria, drives the development and implementation of key goals, objectives, and successes criteria for the program with key stakeholders and core team.

  • Monitors and ensures quality of program deliverables. Leads core team and key field resources to develop and monitor deployment schedule, strategies, and tools to support the implementation of programs in the field through trials and controlled customer deployments.

  • Identifies and helps the team make program tradeoffs to balance scope, time, and costs. Ensures proper documentation.

  • Tracks and manages the program schedule and upstream and downstream dependencies.

  • Drives action item resolution and track completion. Ensures program milestones are accomplished and ensures overall committed timelines are met. Documents all major plan changes in scope, approach, and date delivery.

  • Communicates updates on major milestones and keeps all stakeholders informed of progress and issues.

  • Identifies and manages proposed changes to program parameters and works with Program Managers to ensure appropriate processes and communications are followed.

  • Ability to present technical information in face-to-face presentations to varied audiences; including executive management, engineering, operations and marketing

  • Driving timely & effective management of forecasted initiatives

  • Mentors Program Directors & Project Managers in relation to handling specific program challenges, overall governance processes, and other guidance as needed.

  • Monitors and stays abreast of technological, legal and operational change that affect the activities and work processes of the Portfolio.

  • Manages program level communications through the following activities: weekly program status reviews. program dashboards, program overview/presentations


  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business Operations, Engineering, or related work experience.

  • Advanced Degrees and Additional Training are beneficial.

  • Certifications are a plus.
