Program Manager

We are looking for a Program Manager for our major sports client, onsite in Bristol, CT. This role is slated for a year and will either extend or go permanent.

ROLE

- Individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of certain learning programs, including the logistics, communications and marketing, and metrics for programs administered by Learning & Organizational Development.
- As a department-wide resource, the Program Manager will be the interface for some vendor relationships, and prepare reports to support program operations and evaluation strategies.
- Program Manager will quickly acclimate to and also understand corporate culture.
- Will implement programs to meet the needs of target audiences,
- Gain knowledge of internal and external resources needed to deliver programs,
- The Program Manager will report to the Vice President, Learning and Organizational Development

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of 5 years progressive experience in a program management or project management role, where the primary responsibilities included execution of programs with quality standards and managing projects within a defined budget.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
- Demonstrated record of building and leveraging relationships effectively at all levels in the company, and superior project management skills.
- Must have proven experience working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to anticipate and avoid most common problems; proven ability to solve problems quickly and independently when they arise.
- Able to meet with management on learning and development needs/solutions
- Able to operate independently and utilize strong decision making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation/facilitation and relationship building skills
- Attention to detail
- Possess a professional presence and cultural awareness
- Must have the ability to travel locally to NYC

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- A keen understanding of HR operations and the company’s learning and development initiatives is a plus.
- Proficient in performance management systems
- Experience leading others formally and informally -- in a project management capacity
