Program Manager - Marketing Events

Contract role with potential for extension or perm with Fortune 500 Tech company in SF!

This position requires someone with a good background in technical marketing, data driven analytics, in-person events, digital event (webinar and video on-demand) and sponsorship program experience as well an understanding of developers. It's also a chance to work on a highly collaborative, highly productive developer relations team, building one of the fastest growing developer communities in the world.

Responsibilities:
- Top notch execution and delivery of in-person events, global live webinars, on-demand videos, demos and product launch live broadcasts.

- Manage thriving external and internal relationships all of whom collaborate closely to develop and successfully execute our events program. Facilitate stakeholder meetings, excel at internal communication and vendor management.

- Scale the program by partnering and aligning with regional developer relations teams to rerun them locally and localized for countries like Japan, France and Germany.

- Manage all aspects of promoting it via all developer channels, including social channels. Find innovative ways to maximize registrations, attendance and video and demo views.

- Work closely with experts such as Admin & Developer Evangelists, Product Managers, MVPs, technology partners as well our Community Leaders to build and deliver the top notch webinar content.

- Plan, manage and balance the events budget -- strive for the best ROI achievable. Leverage events after the fact with effective follow up marketing, and transparently share the analysis and reporting on the success of the program. Delivers weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual report that shows success of the programs.

-Work closely with other members of the admin and the developer marketing team to spur the growth and activity of the community.

- Innovate existing and new digital events and programs to differentiate us from others in the industry.

- Work with other marketers and program managers on various admin and developer marketing initiatives to drive adoption of technologies.

Required Skills/Experience:
- Experience running large marketing programs, digital and in-person events

- Knowledgeable about cloud computing. software-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service.

- Clear understanding of developers audience. Marketing to admins and developers a plus.

- Managing relationship with vendors and partners.

- Flexible, self-starter, independent, innovative, creative, comfortable with risk-taking and constant change.

- Methodical and organized; able to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently while prioritizing and planning effectively.

- High energy, enthusiasm, and passion for building valuable resource collections, successful communities, and effective programs.

- Must have experience in using various webinar tools, such as GoToWebinar, WebEx, YouTube and video editing tools like Camtasia and iMovie.

- Web development skills preferred but not required. Basic HTML knowledge required and intermediate-to-advanced HTML skills a plus.
