Professional-Manager, Communications, PR and Social Media

The Manager of Communications, PR and Social Media is a key member of the Corporate Communications team responsible for articulating and advancing the Company story through internal, external and social media channels. Works with the Communications team to drive, develop and manage the digital and social media strategy. Partners with the Integrated Digital Strategy Team, PR team, and Creative Services to seek innovative ways to engage internal and external audiences. Writes and manages content for internal and external communications for both traditional and digital media

1. Supports Corporate communications team in the development and implementation of the Company’s social media strategy to communicate business initiatives. Participates in Social Media Committee and manages updates to guidelines, tactics and new media. 30%
2. Responsible for content creation: Works with Communications team and across the organization to identify opportunities and provide content support for internal and external audiences. Writes, edits and repurposes content for a variety of different online environments. 30%
3. Works with team to create, manage and grow the company’s reputation and presence on website, LinkedIn, and other channels. 20%
4. Manages editorial calendar for Internet, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. 10%
5. Reviews and reports analytics to help inform content development. 10%
6. Coordinates content approval process for social media projects.

The ideal candidate demonstrates solid communications skills (written and verbal), knowledge of traditional and social media, and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within tight timelines. Works well in traditional and social media. Possesses a background in internal communications and/or PR.

Must have 5 – 8 years’ experience preferably in the pharmaceutical industry. BA in Communications, Journalism or related field.
