Production Strategist

As a Production Strategist, you will be a key member of a team tasked with supercharging this video streaming company with creative development and accelerating creator growth and success through expanding outreach, increasing investment in creator education and training, and offering expertise at all stages of production.

Production Strategists are the backbone of this company's creative community. They are themselves creative and will support creators in scaling video production practices and educating them throughout that process. The role may involve working across a variety of verticals including lifestyle, gaming, comedy, animation, and educational content. You will also be responsible for driving programs with external partners in the entertainment industry.

The role requires the ability to work effectively with many types of channel creators from around the world, from large-scale media companies to independent auteurs, as well as with cross-functional teams from product, engineering, marketing, business development, and user experience, towards the goal of channel development. You will have the perfect storm of creative, strategic, and analytic thinking as well as hands on production experience. You are not afraid to pick up a camera and you love to be involved in all phases of the production process. You admire diverse perspectives on what great videos are and the democratization of content creation excites you.
A love for the web as a new entertainment medium, a motivation to experiment and learn from new techniques, and an understanding of how to stimulate the creation of original content will be key to success in the role.


Role Responsibilities:
-Work directly with creators in their production efforts and help them implement best practices through the entire production process.
-Collaborate with creators on scaling production capabilities.
-Conceive, develop and execute programming events that leverage all the capabilities of the Studio and energize large numbers of creators.
-Track and share best practices and build case studies highlighting innovations identified in the work with creator channels.
-Work with the team in their efforts to build relationships with existing creators and help the creator community grow into rising stars.

Minimum qualifications:
-BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
-5 years of experience in a programming and/or production leadership role in a TV, film or digital production setting.
-1 year developing online programming, branding and/or editorial strategy.

Preferred qualifications:
-Direct experience building channels and producing serial content on YouTube and/or similar platforms.
-Excellent organizational, strategic, communication and presentation skills.
