TITLE: PRODUCTION MANAGER
ROLE:
The role of a Production Manager is to oversee all aspects of post production by marshalling projects through to their final stages of completion. This includes overseeing the production details of each project, collaborating across departments, interfacing with outside vendors, and upholding a high standard for elements that pass through the production department. The Production Manager is responsible for budgets, scheduling, and the on-time delivery of agency production, and must have a thorough understanding of agency creative/production processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Manage the post production process directly after the shoot
 Communicate proactively with creative teams to execute the creative vision of the agency
 Update account managers on the status of client post production deliverables
 Support account teams with their various client related needs and questions
 Collaborate with account teams to gain client approvals prior to commencing work
 Negotiate with outside vendors to meet client/agency budgets/deadlines
 Assess in-house charges, working with production team when necessary
 Estimate retouching/print jobs and manage budgets accordingly, issue purchase orders
and reconcile all invoices to their corresponding estimates
 Create overage estimates when necessary
 Develop retouching/print schedules, managing account/creatives/vendors accordingly
 Review and approve account manager production schedules
 Inform account managers of any budget restrictions and/or scheduling issues
 Go above and beyond to meet client deadlines
 Anticipate challenges and partner with production/creative/account to develop solutions
 Collaborate with photographers to acquire edits/selects in a timely manner
 Manage and quality control retouching, working closely with creatives/vendors to
guarantee the development of strong, on concept imagery
 Develop print specifications based on creative/client preferences, always being mindful of
technical challenges
 Assist the creative team with sourcing (paper archive, print samples, etc.)
 Conduct sample research and explore new techniques to achieve the creative vision
 Quality control vendor printing to ensure the development of high-end collateral
 Attend press checks (when appropriate)
 Manage print fulfillment and shipping when required
 Collaborate with the post production team, calling out project challenges when they arise
 Contract with separations house vendors and generate ad release estimates
 Partner with Studio Manager to ensure publication material deadlines are met, and
obtain extensions when needed
 Quality control composed proofs (e.g. color matching/copy legibility)
 Maintain an accurate paper trail, archiving agency/client materials/samples appropriately
