Production Manager

Our client is looking for their next Production Manager to join their onsite team. The Production Director will manage all aspects of client orders, including estimation, planning,

implementation, and invoicing, in support of Sales Representatives and Account Managers,

for design, print, technical services, promotional products, direct mail, warehousing and/or

fulfillment projects.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with client(s) and Sales Representative as needed to gather project requirements

• Document project specifications for quoting purposes

• Take initiative and responsibility to research new projects and production methods

• Obtain cost estimates from internal departments and external suppliers; negotiate to obtain

best price/quality/schedule combination

• Prepare quotes and review with Sales Representative; forward to client as requested

• Manage project schedules for timely and effective progress toward target dates

• Manage orders through internal departments to ensure project is completed on time and

within estimated budget parameters

• Provide ongoing status updates to Client, Sales, and Team Leader as necessary on project

progress

• Escalate issues as necessary

• Review and approve proofs; forward to Sales and Client for final sign-off; perform on-site

press & lettershop approvals as required

• Coordinate and manage freight, shipping and related delivery issues to ensure customer

satisfaction

• Enter all job information into online system; review and approve vendor invoices; capture all

cost information for billing to client

• Other duties as required or assigned

Specific Skills:

• Knowledge of printing and direct mail, in an agency or manufacturing environment a plus

• Knowledge of postal regulations preferred

• Good PC skills/aptitude, knowledge of Microsoft Office products required

• Good communication skills required, both oral and written

• Excellent organizational and time management skills required

• Experience in client management a plus
