Production Manager

We’re working with a client in the Education industry to find a Production Manager to join their team! This position produces all radio and television broadcasts, print, direct mail, and interactive and collateral advertising to promote and reinforce the organization’s position in providing exceptional education and training to a national working adult population.

Start Date: As soon as the right candidate is found
Duration: Through the end of November
Location: Onsite at client's office in San Francisco
Hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities:
-Accountable for meeting department goals and objectives, as well as analyzing, identifying, and reporting measures to enhance processes and procedures
-Ensures all advertisements are accessible to company personnel
-Evaluates production estimates and vendor capabilities to ensure cost-efficient and timely production of all print and broadcast materials
-Oversees the timely and accurate trafficking of completed advertisements to media
-Manages and tracks talent payments, usage and residuals as they relate to the organization's advertisements
-Identifies and selects vendors which include printers, producers, recording studios, writers, designers, and letter shops to perform advertising activities for the organization
-Provides direction to vendors and monitors quality of work
-Oversees the placement and implementation of advertising, direct mail, and other promotional campaigns
-Assists in the development and adherence of the department budget to ensure that all budget goals are met on a yearly basis
-Maintains a professional knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
-Hires, trains, conducts performance evaluations, and directs the workflow for the department staff.

Requirements:
-Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, advertising or related field
-Proven experience managing and/or administering the production of radio and television broadcast, print, direct mail, and interactive and collateral advertising
-Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with corporate, campus, and department staff, as well as vendors and media personnel
-Must possess the ability to convey a professional image and develop relationships with vendors, including printers, producers, recording studios, writers, designers, and letter shops
-Ability to prepare presentations, as well create and generate spreadsheets and reports
-Proven experience managing content on an internal website preferred.
-Ability to manage competing priorities
