Awesome Portland creative agency, specializing in experiences and environments with innovative ideas and a passion for execution, is seeking a Project Manager. This is a contract to hire role located in Portland.

This is a critical, client-facing position that is highly visible and demanding which requires someone who is energetic, able to multi-task, and above all, possess a commitment to excellence. Ideal candidates must have knowledge and experience in retail program management including staging and theming, solution development for two-dimensional graphics and three-dimensional displays, sourcing, production management, installation oversight, the ability to read floor plans, and coordinating logistics.

Specific responsibilities of this position include:

  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with multiple clients and accounts and foster positive learning opportunities for assistant level employees
  • Develop and implement project work plans related to display production
  • Prepare and manage the project budget including purchase orders, vendor invoices, and final billing to the client
  • Manage vendor selection and relationships, and participate in competitive bidding
  • Oversee the quality assurance process
  • Make improvements, solve problems, or take corrective action when problems arise
  • Prepare and give presentations or briefings on all aspects of the project
  • Management of logistics
  • Remote and/or onsite installation coordination and oversight
  • Manage the project close out process

  • Qualifications:

    Ideal candidates should be able to demonstrate:
  • Detailed knowledge of materials and fabrication techniques common to the retail and furniture industries
  • Strong familiarity with freight shipping practices
  • Strong familiarity of trade shows, events and staging as they relate to display production
  • Quality of work: produces work that is complete and accurate, with an attention to detail
  • Responsibility and dependability: willing to take on assignments and be accountable for results
  • Attendance and punctuality: is dependable, prompt, and reliable
  • Interpersonal skills: communicates effectively and works well with others
  • Productivity: works independently and responds to changes in priorities in an unstructured environment
  • Initiative: offers effective solutions and learns new methods to accomplish tasks
  • Professionalism: remains positive, takes pride in work and can handle confidential information
  • Adaptability: responds well to new situations and is open to improving process

  • Educational, Professional, and Technical Requirements:
  • Minimum educational requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Mid-Level position requires a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
  • Familiar with Mac computers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Autocad, Revit, Solidworks or similar cad software
